The Middle East is an area where car is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little reward to discover more of moving around.

But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have actually pushed up the rate of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one company is making the most of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, currently their client-list contains McDonald's.
